Rachel Credo is the founder of "A Pathway to Autonomy, LLC", which is widely referred to as "APTA." Rachel possesses extensive expertise in serving individuals with developmental disabilities, accumulated over a span of 16 years or more. This experience encompasses roles such as direct support professional, facility manager, facility administrator, and QIDP. Additionally, Rachel has dedicated the past 6 years to providing exceptional service coordination to Westside Regional Center community.
Rachel has developed extensive management skills in various residential settings, including ICF/DDN, ICF/DDH, and ARF settings such as Level 4I and Level 4N. She gained these skills while working as a facility manager, facility administrator, and QIDP. Rachel acquired her experience through vendor providers within the service areas of Westside Regional Center, Harbor Regional Center, and Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center. Rachel has extensive experience in providing care and support to individuals who are medically fragile, as well as those who experience emotional and behavioral health challenges.
Rachel possesses certifications as an independent facilitator and person-centered planner. As a service coordinator, Rachel assisted around 25 to 30 clients, comprising of both children and adults, in enrolling and transitioning to the CA Self-Determination Program. Rachel provided a thorough and meticulous explanation and support of the Self-Determination Program to all clients served and their families, thus, ensuring a smooth transition. Rachel was characterized by clients and families she assisted as having qualities such as compassion, professionalism, care, respect, and competence.
Rachel operates an agency that offers Independent Facilitation (IF) Services, Supported Living Services (SLS), Independent Living Skills (ILS) Services, and Coordinated Family Support (CFS) Services. Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Psychology with an Emphasis in Mental Health Counseling, and she is currently a doctoral student pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology with an Emphasis in Cognition and Instruction. Rachel's objective is to create a well-regarded organization with strong principles centered around inclusiveness, integration, and independence. Based on Rachel's extensive experience, knowledge, and academic background, Rachel is confident that she can effectively and successfully establish a well-structured internal team and deliver reliable and consistent support to both clients and the community.
Rachel, the founder of APTA, is a firm believer in Benjamin Franklin's famous quote: "Well done is better than well said."
